Abstract Turizam 21. stoljeća suočen je sa snažnom spregom međunarodnih odnosa i
razvijenog Know Howa.
S druge strane, turizam postaje i integrirajući činitelj u
gospodarskom razvitku na nacionalnoj, regionalnoj i lokalnoj razini. Prihvaćajući
globalizaciju i integracijske procese kao dobrodošle, pozitivne trendove, daljnji razvoj
turizma pojedine destinacije potrebno je sagledati u sadašnjim i nailazećim
procesima.
regije, a klasterima i u gradovima, dok će poduzeća odnosno poslovni sustavi u
okviru predloženih pravila igre dakle ovisno o specifičnostima destinacije kao brenda
razvijati vlastiti Know How. Upravo kako je to učinjeno u ovom radu, analizom
pojedinih zemalja i njihovih gospodarstava.
bude bolji od drugoga, bolje organiziran i funkcionalan. Biti snažan, znači globalizirati
drugoga, a time i samog sebe.
Abstract (english) In the 21st century, tourism faces a powerful coupling of international relations and
developed Know How. It develops on new organizational principles, creating strong
relations with economies ready to accept such integrations. Entities encompassed by
tourism open up numerous possibilities of inclusion at the international level. On the
other hand, tourism is also becoming an integrating factor in economic development
at the national, regional and local level. Having accepted globalization and integration
processes as welcome and positive trends, further tourism development of the
particular destination should be contemplated in view of current and upcoming
processes. In other words, this means that adequate investments should be used to
build a destination's infrastructure, that is, identity foundations should be created at
the level of the state and the region, in clusters and in towns, while companies and
business systems will develop their own Know How within the framework of the
proposed rules of the game, that is, depending on the specificities of the destination
as a brend. Just as in this paper, analysis of the current situation has proven that
there are multiplicative effects at the level of the region and the state, identification of
the existing strength in the region and the state was carried out through master plans
and competitiveness analysis, and this was also carried out at the local level by
comparing the two societies. Calculation has established that Istria's tourism
multiplication factor is lower than Croatia's tourism multiplicator and the reason for
this is the fact that although Istria is a highly developed tourist region, its “supporting
infrastructures” (industrial, agricultural, construction) are much less developed so it
greatly depends on import from abroad and from the other parts of the state.
Benchmarking of the two hotel business systems has proven that the link between
investments, technological progress and effects in tourism is strong. It was also
proven that a business system that makes significant investments achieves much
more successful business results.
This paper uses the example of a world management company to show how this
looks in practice, taking into consideration investments and technological progress
which are integral parts of such business relations. This is also the answer to the
question about the route to the tourism market and about which obstacles need to be
overcome on that route in order to enhance the effects from tourism. This process
imposes a new manner of deliberation on further development of certain states and
their economies. Thereat, the presumption is intriguing that globalization, that is,
inclusion into contemporary economic processes, takes into consideration or
accentuates the specificities of the location which accepts it as comparative
advantage before the competition. Tourism is the very branch which is an
indispensable component of the world tourism economy, whereat it retains its
comparative advantages. Participating in the globalization process in tourism means
being recognizable in globalization. Therefore, accepting globalization means
accepting the challenge of being better than someone else, being better organized
and functional. Being strong means globalizing someone else and thus oneself, as
well.
